Thanks for the info! Yes, I do go to Vassar in New York, but I am originally from Washington. I was unsure whether Chinook was in WA or OR, thanks for the correction. I'll be sure to check out the 'official' website again and will direct my inquiries there. I've actually been kind of following the progress of the current Chinook/Quinault conflict via the internet newspaper 'Indian Country Today'. I was wondering if you had any further knowledge on this subject. Do you know how far away the Chinook tribe is from gaining official recognizition?
