My notes say that Comcomly (and the Village), wintered in a box canyon that had a creek flowing in the bottom of it. This canyon was very narrow, and the bad weather actually blew over it, leaving the Chinook relatively warm and dry in its' bottom, along the creek. The location was reported as being on a creek that drained into the Naselle River.

I'm thinking this canyon (if the story is true), would be a great spot to study, but it is probably on private land now. It was reported to be accessed by canoe, paddling up the Naselle and the whole Village lived there in the Wintertime.

True or Maybe?
