What is Chinook jargon? |
Chinook jargon is a language born out of the amalgamation of European and Native American (Chinookan) dialects, developed from morphemes, or word element sequences. Chinook Jargon was a popular language with traders and later on with the working class, so much so, that even bible texts were translated into Chinook. See: Language
